Asana Play Space

An hour of playtime in a cozy yoga studio with all the props & equipment PLUS support from an instructor and community.

This is YOUR time to practice anything you've been working toward, get coaching and encouragement, or just move and have fun! All are welcome but space is limited, so RSVP to secure your spot. Please note: the studio entrance is on the second floor via outdoor staircase. Unfortunately it is not wheelchair accessible.

Meditation Play Space

Group meditation for community & co-regulation.

We'll keep the first 15-20 minutes open to get settled, chat, and discuss meditation techniques. After that, everyone drops into silence and folks can meditate using the technique they want to explore that day. The instructor's bell signals when meditation time ends, leaving time to share with one another. (Sharing is ALWAYS optional!)

Meditation & Solidarity

Use the practice of meditation and community support to reflect on:

  • Your passion, purpose, or focus in seeking liberation (the goal of yoga),
  • What actions you're taking, individually & as part of a community,
  • How you want to move forward in organizing, activating, and advocating for personal & collective freedom.

This offering meets monthly with a goal of keeping us accountable, while also allowing time for action, shifts, and progress.

Sunset Sky Meditation

Celebrate the fall equinox by focusing your awareness on the beauty of the sky at sunset. Using the trataka (candle-gazing meditation) technique, modified for this special evening, Taylor's approach is secular and modern so everyone feels welcome.

Note: the actual fall equinox is on Monday September 22nd *~*

Inspired by the ancient yogic practice trataka (candle gazing meditation), modified for the season of Fall. We will learn about meditation and the trataka technique, spend time exploring the food forest and practice meditation, then re-gather to chat about our experiences.

These offerings end at 10:45am, after which you are welcome to stay for a free community yoga class led by one of the food forest volunteers (11am-noon)!

Join us to take part in this free community event and support local writers & creatives! Bring poems or other creative works to share, trade, and/or sell.

5pm: gathering to connect, exchange ideas and/or creative works, and hype each other.

5:30pm: live readings by featured poets

  • Self-expression through written word allows us to reflect & process our experiences & emotions.
  • Oratory performance allows for catharsis & connection.
  • When we are heard, seen, & supported as our truest selves, we are better able to move through a chaotic world feeling more centered, and act out of care & imagination vs. reactivity.
